Does anyone know a respectable anime news site? There's a rumor going around that the owner of MetroCon was arrested but I can't find any news on the subject.

[edit] Metrocon made a formal statement. It's a bummer *nods* But it seems the convention will be ok for this year at least.

Donno the people, can't look up by name, but the website does have a post about the rumors, saying don't worry con will be fine.

I don't see anything anywhere about it. I would believe the con's site over random rumors. If it really is a big deal, I'm betting anime news network will mention it at the least.

are you refering to the domestic violence charge in the top line because that's the only one on the list I got from the site that happened recently. Just wanted to make sure I got the same results.

Line 7 is the latest - Carnal Knowledge of Unmarried is the charge. What exactly is that anyway? Is it something like adultery?

It means having sex with a minor from what I can gather. But from what was in the Metrocon statement what he's being accused of allegedely happened at some time in the past. Alex used 'years ago' I think to give a gen idea. Who knows, maybe he was 24 and she was 17 when it happened... or maybe it didn't happen at all... either way he's not going to be at the con this year which is a bummer but we'll still have a great time. ^_^ He's a big part of the show but I'm sure his partners will pull it off well.

Crazy, everyone has been talking about this on the cosplay.com and animemetro.com forums for the past two days.

Everything seems to be on schedule and Alex Craddock will be in charge of the con this year.

He states that accusation does not mean conviction, and though Roy may not make it this year, Metro will still happen.

Yeah, I read the statement too. I hope everything works out well for everyone involved. That's a tough charge in this state even if you're not guilty.
